Hugnuan is very old circuit heritage which probably used -by Early people in cooking Manyang in Caloloma and page.
According to the history of this Hugnuan, this Hugnuan started with the person named Panyong Soria, he is the one who make Hugnuan in Rawes(Caloloma).
But the first hugnuan that they were discovered before Panyong Soria that was estated the one who make Hugnuan in Rawes(Caloloma) only.
But in the first hugnuan was make is in between Caloloma and Pange which called kabarasan which is the first Hugnuan on Early.As of now, hugnuan is very useful in terms of making liquors (manyang) to sustain their needs.

Many years has passed this “kampo “had been covered with the roots of a large tree that is commonly called “Dalakit” in waray and they started to called it Baluarte for some reason. They also believe that this baluarte is guided by a mythical or supernatural creature such as; tsanak, whitelady and etc. for they believe that it is one of the victim of the past war happen in that “kampo” or “Baluarte”.

Fisher man from Boholanon’s were attracted by the rich natural resources of pagsanghan and settled in the place In 1979, the place was petitioned to be a township and was converted into a municipality on Oct. 10, 1979 The influential leader of samar, Hon. Jose a Rono, who. Was then the minister of local Government and community Development and Hon. Cong Fernando No.86 to make pagsanghan a constituted municipality, the bill was approved and finally rafified through a referendum. On October 10, 1979, pagsanghan was inaugurated as new municipality under the administration of President Ferdinand E Marcos with thirteen (13) baranggay’s covered.
